For more than a year now, many people have been able to apply for residency in Spain as teleworkers.
Thanks to the Startups Law, it is now possible for foreigners who are teleworking in their country of origin to emigrate to Spain, obtain legal residency and work for their company.
The main requirements:
It is necessary to demonstrate the existence of a work activity for at least one year with the company or group of companies.
Documentation proving that the employment relationship can be carried out remotely.
Demonstrate the existence of an employment relationship with the company not located in Spain, for at least the last three months prior to submitting the application.
How much do I have to prove financially?
To apply for a Digital Nomad Residence, you must have 200% of the minimum wage. This year, this wage has increased by 5%, so it is now 1,134 euros per month, so the foreigner must have 30,240 euros. If you want to emigrate to Spain with a family member, you must have 75% of the minimum wage, that is, 11,304 euros. This amount must be proven to cover the first two years of validity of the card.
